So, four years of college have already come and gone. From the all-nighters before finals to the tailgates and insane parties. Those four years of grinding to get your degree are about to pay off! You have nothing but fond memories of making new friends and perhaps some trauma of dorm life. At the end of the day – or should I say, four years, it was all so worth it. So, why not go out in style?
Whether you’re using this outfit for your senior photos or to walk in during the commencement ceremony, these graduation outfits will have you feeling your best and turning heads.
Trendiest Graduation Outfits:
Classic White Dress
White is the “traditional” graduation dress color. The suffragettes wore white back in the day, so it is symbolic of having a new start! While the tradition of white has some deep meaning and symbolism, you can wear it for whatever reason you please. Since graduation is right on the cusp of summer, a little white sundress makes an excellent outfit choice.

Pantsuit
Why not be the boss-babe you are and show up to commencement in a pantsuit. This outfit is for sure one of my favorite graduation outfits on the list because it will make you stand out.
How many graduates have you seen walking at commencement in a snazzy pantsuit? I know I haven’t seen many, and I so wish I would have thought of this for my graduation! This outfit is a must.

Long Skirt
Try something different like a long skirt. This look is in between traditional and untraditional. You can make it a white skirt set or try a funky pattern – the options are truly endless. Long skirts are so comfortable and airy that you won’t have to worry about anything riding up!
Another perk to wearing an untraditional graduation outfit is that you can use these pieces for other things. We love anything practical and reusable.

Flowy Jumpsuit
I wore a flowy jumpsuit to my graduation ceremony, and it was the best decision I made. It’s cute, practical, and comfortable. You won’t be worried about readjusting as you walk on stage in front of thousands of people.
There’s no need to pair a top and pants with a jumpsuit either! This is another outfit idea that can be worn for other occasions as well. Dress it up with a chunky mule heel and some gold jewelry.

Wrap Dress
This little wrap dress is darling. It’s perfect for a summery look since it will probably be super hot sitting on the file for graduation. The wrap detail is super flattering for any body type as it accentuates your waist.
The best part about a wrap dress is the ability to tighten and loosen it as needed. We all know the meal after the ceremony will be a good one, so having that extra space will be a blessing.

Sequin Dress
Okay, this outfit is a statement! If you are the type of person who wants all eyes on you, then try something dazzling like a sequin dress. You are sure to catch a lot of attention when the sun shines down on you, creating a shimmering look!
This dress is definitely for the girl who likes her looks to be extra, and we are fully supportive of it. A sequin dress can also be reused for New Year’s Eve!

Sequin Bell Bottoms
We are obsessing over these funky sequin bell bottoms. These pants are so unique you will for sure stand out amongst the crowd. Not to mention they’re super stretchy and flowy. There’s no better way to make a statement at the commencement than by wearing these flashy bell bottoms.
Try these with a corset top to offset the looser bottom. And of course, don’t forget the chunky jewelry and a heel to keep the bottom of the pants from dragging on the ground.

Two-Piece Set
A two-piece set is one of our favorite go-to outfits for any occasion. You would look like a total baddie wearing a two-piece set to your graduation. It’s casual but can be dressed up depending on how you accessorize it!
Add some dainty jewelry and chunky heels to complete this look. We always recommend chunky heels for graduation since you will be walking on grass or turf!

Maxi Dress
Try out a maxi dress for your commencement ceremony. It’s adorable and flowy, allowing airflow to come through, so between your outfit and the gown, you won’t overheat!
A flowy maxi dress can be worn on picnics or to the beach, so you won’t waste your money on a dress that you’ll only wear once. Complete the look with gold hoop earrings and a heel for some extra height.

Leather Skirt
Well, hello, little Miss Edgy. If you’re looking for a particularly unique look for graduation day, then try a leather skirt. This is one of my favorite graduation outfits on the list. It’s sleek and chic, so you have to try it! This outfit can be half casual, half formal.
Dress the skirt up or down depending on the ceremony. You can use a white t-shirt or a white button-down based on how elevated you need the look to be. Try some chunky heeled boots to go with!

Formal Dress
Many of the looks on this list are somewhat casual. For a more formal graduation ceremony, try a formal-looking dress. Darker colors like black or navy are always a go-to. Grab a dress that’s a little bit longer, perhaps below the knee, for a more sophisticated look.
Don’t forget to add all the details by accessorizing with gold or silver jewelry and picking out a comfortable chunky heel to walk the stage in.

Cozy Two-Piece
This two-piece caters specifically to those who need to spend their graduation at home. It’s a bummer that large gatherings like a graduation commencement have been moved to Zoom. However, safety first is the key. We can appreciate that we can be comfortable at home during the long ceremony. Those things can last hours!
Still, there’s no reason you can’t look cute during the whole ordeal. Wearing a cute flowy two-piece gives you the benefits of style and comfort.
