Today’s Outfit Of The Day is inspired by DIY day! On this day we were running errands. We went to Home Depot and Ikea to pick up some things for a bathroom redecoration and reorganization.
The main inspiration for this outfit is comfort! The month of September in San Diego can be brutal when it comes to heat. The last push of summer along with fire season creates a hot and breeze free environment. Long loose clothing is great for keeping the sun off your skin while allowing air flow.

To complete this outfit, I chose a pair of long-leg black overalls with a contrasting white tank and white tennis shoes to match. It’s comfy, it’s apparent that I’m out here to do some DIY damage, and it looks put together! The best thing is that nothing about this outfit is terribly expensive.
Shop The Look:
- Revolt Women’s Junior Baggy Straight Leg Twill Overalls – $30-$40
- WearMe Pro Reflective Lens Round Trendy Sunglasses – $20
- Topshop Petite White Zig Zag Cami – $8
- Adidas Stan Smiths – $80
I did end up tailoring these overalls to fit me better. As someone who is 5 foot tall, tailoring is a necessary skill to learn for yourself. The legs were super baggy, which for me is also essential. I have a squat muscular build, so I have to do what I can to make myself look slimmer and longer. I was able to taper the legs straight down the side and hem the bottom. It’s not the best craftsmanship, but it gets the job done and that’s what it’s all about.

California Winter and Fall outfits are my favorite kinds to style!
